Crochet cushion

I have not been on WordPress for absolutely ages. I’ve been super busy redecorating the lounge and working. My sister has had her baby (a girl) and my sister in law has announced she is pregnant with her second baby. (We think a boy but not sure yet) lots of exciting baby projects to make!

I’ve been working on some cushions for the newly decorated lounge and have finished one so far. I got the tutorial for the basket weave stitch from Bella coco’s YouTube channel and did the same stitch front and back and then stitched together using single crochet and added an order. I’m really pleased with how it turned out. Need to pick a stitch and a colour for the next cushion now. X

Little Crochet Purse

Last night I went to my first ever crochet class/workshop. I spotted the class on my Facebook feed as it’s run at a local tea room to me. It’s a two part class to make a little crochet purse.

Last night we made the crochet part and next session we are going to line the purse and add the clasp and decorations.

Here’s what I’ve done so far and all the materials. I love how the pink cotton brings out the pink flowers in the lining.

First blog post

Hi and welcome to my first blog post on Mazie and the Hook.

I’m currently working on this crochet bunting for my sisters baby girl, she is due in March 2017 and I’m working on a matching chevron baby blanket in the same yarn. (I will post about that once I’m further along with it) I’m excited to see how they both turn out and even more excited to see them being put to use by my brand new baby niece ❤️.

I saw this bunting tutorial on YouTube on”Hello Deborah” Click here for her video tutorial. It’s super easy to do and her tutorial is easy to follow.

If all goes well with these I might make some more in other colours and sizes and play around with decorating them.

If anyone else has any baby crochet patterns they can recommend please link in the comments below. Or if you’ve made crochet bunting I’d love to see a picture.
